Yes, I believe all of you can see that my blog has undergone somewhat of a total blogskin makeover, haha. I've decided to settle for this blogskin for a long time (perhaps till another nice one catches my eye ahah). From the original blogskin, the buttons located in brown did not have the legend (i.e. the words Entries, Archive, Your Whispers, etc) and so I helped myself to the editing to list the buttons down, using of course some fancy fonts wahaha. Plus at the bottom of the window the moving quotes or phrases that you see there were added by yours truly (yeap...alittle emo-ish bah...but still I like it.)
Well, chalet was definitely a super blast, this time at Aloha changi chalet F, you know, the one with the seaview, closest to the beachfront haha. I remembered the last PD0105 chalet was held there as well, so I took quite a liking to the place, booked it, organised abit and the people came, haha. They really seemed to enjoy it loads! On chalet day, meet Sam Loo at JE mrt interchange, then hopped onto the train towards Pasir Ris. Talked quite alot of stuff along the way since the journey was taking ages. Joked abit about how people see us in a corner of the train, dressed so slack-style-ish with big bags resembling bombs or 'teh-ba-boom' LOl!!! When we reached Tampines mrt station, alighted and, time was 3.15pm, slightly off-timing, but Eric and Wenjie havn't arrived, so we headed to the shopping centre. Walked around abit, then both of us decided to sit at Mac wait for them. Once Eric arrived, we headed to NTUC buy our much-needed food and drinks. Loads of stuff bought, and it was there that we met up with Wenjie. So after grocery shopping, we headed for destination 'check-in to our chalet and collect keys of course' via taxi.
Really loved the feeling of being there again to take in the view of the sea, and everyone agreed as well. There was a slight sea breeze that blew across my face; that familiar scent of the vast sea. What was missing was cleaner, much finer sand, and oh, the breeze could have been slightly longer. Now that reminisces a vivid picture of the better beaches of palawan or siloso at Sentosa. Gosh now I really miss going to sentosa just to tan, slack, play. Or just maybe taking some time sitting in the sand, under those small, hawaiian-esque wood umbrella-shaped shelters, eyes a-gazing at the vast expanse of ocean, blue skies. Its something I really want to experience once again before going into the army...haiz....Okok enuff said about that. So to cut the story short, bbq was on that first night itself, where everyone arrived (but not at the same time haha). We had Liyana, Nurul, Yani and her friend arrive first, and following that was Samuel Kuang, who didn't know where the chalet was, and I had to pop up to the main road, only to see his dad's car behind me hahaha. Then it was weiyang. Then Huiling, Yahui, Serene Yeo, Serene Tay and Andrea, where they arrived together. Zhao and Chee Han were last to arrive, and they came quite late...when the malay girls were about to leave hahaha. But still we took photos for rememberance. So the rest of us stayed...The night was abuzz. The bbq was great I must say, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I was glad they helped themselves to the food, which were to their liking haha. The funny incident was when me, Eric & Wenjie had to thaw most of the bbq foodstuffs because we forgot to keep them in the fridge, but placed them inside the freezer instead LOL....damn peng lor...then had to thaw using the microwave oven...everyone was frantic to thaw quickly, sorting out ways to thaw faster, like using bowls of water, heating the otah in the wok, which one was steamed hahah, etc. It was really funny come to think of it now, when I'm recalling them all over again, since the thawing part was done using 'teamwork' style haha. Each had their task to do in order to complete the bigger mission hhahha. Then of course alot of games were going on, and talking and gossiping as well. The night just went on nicely....until the guys (except me and Sam Loo) wanted to go up OCH to walk walk at like 1am. Eric didn't want to go at first, but peer pressure from the rest made him go hahah. I was under their psycho-ing as well you know...and thinking if it was such a good idea to go up there, at night, at 1am, to say the least. Me and Sam Loo didn't go in the end. When they came back, they all were quiet, and I mean really seriously quiet. When I asked them what happened, they seem to brush me off, and telling me not to ask them.I looked at Sam Loo. He looked back. We both knew something was wrong, and that something must have happened up there. But still, they not wanting to tell me anything was really too unnatural given their characters and personality, e.g. Eric who is really chatty...but came back totally quiet. I thought they had seen 'something', you know what I'm referring to, no need to elaborate further. Eventually, when the whole group went out together to walk walk around 3am, they spilled the beans, saying that it was a joke, where they bluff us....wth dudes...u almost got me and Sam Loo haha. But I already knew something was fishy since I know Sam Kuang always like to prank haha. Nice one dudes! Went walking towards Changi Village with the group. Of course they wanted to see the bapoks...so off we went. Saw afew of them, not that many compared to when I last went there with previous class peeps, but enough to intrigue the guys hahahah. Then walked quite abit to changi costal park, where everywhere was dead quiet (literally, but of course it should be lah...given that its 3am plus in the morning! lol). Chee Han, Sam Kuang, Weiyang and I walked further down to the beach, the rest waited at some chair area far back. It was worth it, given that I was able to witness the stillness of the night, calmness of the water that was unbroken by ripples, and under the starlit night sky; you could literally sit there for hours, reflecting, pondering about life, or enjoy a moment's peace on Earth there with your loved one, gazing at the billions of stars which I saw that very night. The silence of the coastal waters, dead, peaceful.2nd day we rotted quite abit at chalet, watching movies, slacking around lazying too, TV galore, snacking once more, haha. Of course played games too, dota alittle (hehe), and played murderer and heart attack with the whole gang. I was really sly throughout the murderer game, since I wanted to make people think I was the murderer, which in turn psychos them to think it was too good to be true, and thus make them suspect others intead, from which I randomly 'killed' the other players to make them think others who killed them were easy targets near them instead. Hahaha had all of them fooled a couple of times, wheee!!It was really fun to get together with everyone just to relax, talk, joke and to play silly old games...which by all means are really meaningful memories to me. Have you ever thought about this: How often a time(s) do you get where you could just unmask your exterior, matured self-concerned looks and character, and just unleash your inner child, that playful, silly-ish and youthful vitality within you when playing games together, and just be yourself like the very kid you were back then years ago, gleefully enjoying the time of your life, without the stress and worries of today? Not much yes? Ah...alas that really true saying, "there is always a child in all of us." When we were about to check out, the place was quite messy, so alot of 'spring cleaning' was needed to be done...or in our context, 'Xpress spring cleaning' wahaha. Sam Loo and some others helped to put the mattressed back in the rooms, while others helped clear the 2nd nite's bbq stuff (including me ok). Then I went to the kitchen, where alot of plates and pots and cookery were in need to washing, so I got some help from Chee Han, Serene Yeo and Sam Kuang. What was really funny was that we had a sort of 'factory assembly line', where Chee Han soaped the plates and cups, Serene Yeo rinsed them, I wiped them with a bathing towel, (LOL!!! I know its very peng, but we didn't have kitchen towels, so Chee Han said heck care just use the bathing towels to wipe haha, what's more was when they washed it was done sloppily and not that clean, lolz but who cares man make nice nice only nia) and Sam Kuang placed them back in place. Tadaa....like that finished in no time hahah.Currently I do not have all the pics, so I will post them another time right here on this post, so watch out for it k? ahaha. Once again thanks to all that helped make this chalet a success, and thnks to all for coming!!! Miss ya all!!
